Museum of Aran Puppet Theater Group opens
TEHRAN – The Aran Puppet Theater Group inaugurated a museum of its puppets on Monday concurrent with a celebration for the National Day of Theater.
A number of theatrical figures, including Reza Babak, Marzieh Borumand, and Zahra Sabri, attended the opening ceremony of the museum at Tehran’s Ferdowsi Hall, the group announced.
The museum is located at a building on the second floor of Ferdowsi Hall.
Speaking at the ceremony, the director of the Aran Puppet Theater Group Behruz Gharibpur thanked all his colleagues who helped him renovate the floor for the museum over the past few days.
Earlier in October 2015, Gharibpur said, “The museum will be unique, providing facilities for guests and visitors to watch the puppets and enjoy the special and significant designs of each puppet as well as the artistic creativity of the designers.”
